Melissa Cook

A thirst for knowledge and a passion for finding solutions to unique and challenging problems is what led Melissa through a career in elementary education and into the world of small business ownership and mortgage lending. Her training as a teacher, mentor and advocate makes her uniquely qualified to view every mortgage lending opportunity through the eyes of each individual client and their unique needs.

Prior to co-founding Convergence Lending with her husband Travis in 2021, Melissa spent several years teaching in elementary schools in mid-Missouri. Her desire to help others achieve their goals truly flourished while serving as a government contractor for the Army Education Center at Carlisle Barracks in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where she worked closely with soldiers and their families to manage their student loan debt through tuition assistance and maximizing their GI Bill benefits.

Today, Melissa focuses her professional time building custom mortgage solutions around the individual borrowing needs of Convergence clients, personally guiding them through the entire loan process every step of the way.

Away from the office, Melissa enjoys spending time outdoors, playing tennis, and chasing after two new pups along with her boys Colin and Nolan and husband Travis.
