Chris Repka

Chris Repka is an Investment Research Analyst Assistant for Convergence Financial, bringing with him a unique background in chess and a passion for investments. He was born and raised in a small town in Slovakia, where he developed his love for chess at the age of 9. With a family of chess players, he quickly became a skilled player and went on to compete in over 40 countries during his high school years.

 After graduating, Chris pursued his dream of becoming a professional chess player for two years before receiving an invitation to join the University of Missouri Collegiate Chess Team, one of the world’s top university chess teams. With a lifelong dream of studying in the United States, he accepted the offer and began pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. During this time, Chris discovered his passion for investments and decided to retire from professional chess to pursue a career in asset management.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Chris enjoys a variety of hobbies, including trying new foods, playing tennis, hiking, reading books, and watching TV. His diverse interests and international background make him a valuable asset to our team, and we are excited to have him on board.
